While there is no stubbies or back bacon on this Canadian inspired cheese platter, the selection of these fine cheeses would even have Bob and Dough’s seal of “Hoser” approval.
Each Cheese Platter comes with a side of Delight’s Candied Walnuts in Fleur de Sel, Organic Pitted Black Olives, Junction Fromagerie’s House Made Crostinis and Organic Dried Cranberries. Plated and ready to go.
The "Take Off Eh 2020, You Hoser!" cheese plater includes;
La Bête À Séguin: Camembert Style double cream. Slightly strong. Named for Quebec artist Marc Séguin “Daring, without compromise”. Tasty & bold, unpasteurized cow’s milk. L’Île-aux-Grues, QC.
Lindsay Bandaged Goat Cheddar: Pasteurized goat milk, 1 year. Royal Winter Fair Grand Champion, American Cheese Society 1st place. Lindsay, On.
Le Mont-Jacob: Farmstead, pasteurized cow milk, semi-soft, pressed, washed rind. Winner of the 2011 Canadian Cheese Grand Prix. From Lac-Saint-Jean, Quebec.
Two 473ml High Park Brewery Across The Pond English Pale Ale. The award-winning Across the Pond is brewed in the style of fine English ales; aromas of black tea, toasted grain, citrus and spice are followed by citrusy and malty flavours. It has a creamy, fine texture with light carbonation and a pleasing, hoppy finish.
- One 375ml Tawse Spark Brut Sparkling 2016. This is a bright, easy-going sparkler from a blend of 44% Pinot Gris, 31% Pinot Noir and 25% Chardonnay with an emphasis on the citrus. Look for candied lemon and lime, a faint pear note with a delicate floral character. The bubbles persist nicely making it a refreshing spring/summer sipper. Score - 89. - One box of Two Delight Chocolates.
